ECO (Evacuation Coordination) Fire Training
- Required by Regulations & Standards once per annum for members of the Emergency Control Organisation (ECO, commonly called “Wardens”)
- Includes training on the site’s fire & evacuation procedures
- Session duration 1 hr, max. 20 participants/session
Practical Extinguisher (First Response) Fire Training
- Recommended annually for all staff, required bi-annually by Regulations & Standards
- Includes fire triangle, classes of fire, types of extinguishers, safe use of extinguishers & opportunity for participants to extinguish a live fire
- Session duration 1 hr, max. 20 participants/session
Evacuation Practice
- Required by Regulations & Standards once per annum
- Includes a short pre-brief & debrief with the ECO
- Includes a report (evacuation practice record) detailing the events which occurred, issues identified during the exercise & recommendations for improvements to the site’s emergency procedures
Chief Warden (Evacuation Coordination) Fire Training
- Required by Regulations & Standards once per annum for key ECO members
- Includes procedures for Chief Warden, Communications Officer & Deputy/ies
- Outlines purpose & use of fire indicator panel
- Demonstrates use of Sound System for Emergency Purposes (s.s.e.p.) by the ECO during an emergency situation
- Session duration 30 mins, max. 10 participants/session
Staff (General Evacuation) Fire Instruction
- Required by Regulations & Standards once per annum for all staff
- Includes basic fire & hazardous materials emergency procedures
- Session duration 30 minutes, max. 20 participants/session
Fire Safety Management Audit
- Recommended once per annum
- Combined walk-around and desktop (Level 1) audit to measure the site’s compliance with the Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008 and the QFES Fire Safety Management Tool for Owner/Occupier
- Includes a report detailing observations, issues identified during the audit & recommendations for improvements to the site’s fire safety compliance
Emergency Planning Committee (EPC) Meeting
- Required once per annum by AS3745 for members of the Emergency Planning Committee (EPC)
- Includes provision of meeting agenda & minutes
- Meeting duration 1 hour (Additional time charged at consultation rate)
- Maximum 10 participants per meeting
